Q: What is the LMS process and how do I begin?
A: Contact a LMS representative (see contact us) and completely describe your sourcing or manufacturing goals. Once thoroughly understood, your US representative will document and communicate those needs to a manager in our China office. Your representative may ask that you send them product samples and send the China manager at least two samples. One of the samples sent to China will be retained by Legacy for quality comparisons going forward. Your US contact and China manager are permanently assigned to your account and the only individuals managing your account - there is no additional transfer of information or opportunity for misunderstanding. The manager in China will begin qualifying factories best matching your communicated needs. They usually compare several sources before recommending and quoting one to your US representative. Your US representative will then work with our logistics team, review import regulations and author a formal quote for your consideration. This typically takes about 2 to 3 weeks with your US representative guiding you throughout the process.
